This section details some of the plays, conventions,
concerts and Festivals I have been to see since the turn of the
millenium.
2002-Present
2000-2001
|
Cinderella: Perth Theatre: 27 December
2001
Went with Donna.
Very good! Been ages since either of us went to a pantomime,
so it was a good laugh, and made CHRISTmas feel a bit
more CHRISTmassy! |
|
Popcorn: MacRoberts Art Centre: 12
April 2001
Went with Lawrence, Euan and Neil.
Brilliant play! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent script
anc acting. Based one of my favourite books written by
Ben Elton. |
|
Comedy Store: Sandy Nelson - Cowane
Centre: 5 April 2001
The warm up woman was very poor, but Sandy Nelson more
than made up for it, with his excellent and musically
gifted parodies of well known singers and groups. |
|
How Many Miles To Babylon: MacRoberts
Art Centre: 31 March 2001
I went with Chris, Anne, Lawrence and Graeme.
Very obscure play based on a cult that is close to destruction.
Why there had to be an accordionist and musical numbers
is a mystery to those who went! |
|
Delirious - Glasgow Barrowlands: 9
November 2000
I went with my Youth Group and people from Stirling Baptist
Church. It is not my kind of music though, so I spent
most of the concert wandering around and bumping into
people I hadn't seen for ages! One of my friends crowdsurfed!
I enjoyed the concert, as it was an overall good experience.

|
Gasping - King's Theatre (Edinburgh): 16 May 2000
My favourite author is Ben Elton. I had read this book,
and when the play came to Edinburgh, I went to see it
with my sister and her fiancé Scott (who are both
drama students). It was a superbly acted play starring
David Haig from TV's "Thin Blue Line". |
|
Phil Kay Concert - Albert Hall: 20 April 2000
This is one of Scotland's funniest comedians. I went
with my friend Peter. Phil Kay stood at the door and welcomed
us in! His show is totally spontaneous, and he encouraged
heckling. After the show, he came up to me and asked if
I had enjoyed it!! |
|
Supergirly Concert - Cowane Centre: 4 April 2000
One of the funniest shows I have ever seen. I went with
my friend Peter. These girls appear on Live and Kicking
on Saturday mornings. They are both very talented, and
were great at parodying absolutely everyone in the pop
music world. |
REM
More Concerts will follow just as soon as I have
attended them, so watch this space...You can also visit a page
containing photo's of the REM
concerts I went to
in 1995 & 1999. I have also seen them at T in the Park 2003.
